General Information
The SCC Testing Center is available to those who plan to attend Shoreline Community College. Assessment is a way of testing your level of knowledge in certain subjects. This will give you and your advisor a way to place you in appropriate classes.

ASSET or COMPASS
Assessment of math and English skills is required of all students who plan to take a math, English, or a "W" course (writing skills required.).  At the end of the testing session, you will receive a copy of your results. See the schedule for ASSET or COMPASS times.

Proctored Tests
The Testing Center is available to proctor tests from other colleges and/or universities on a limited basis. The fee is $25 per proctored test. Proctored tests are generally offered during the COMPASS test times.

GED Testing
The GED registration fee is to $75 and the re-take fee is $15. See the schedule for GED registration times. Persons who are just beginning the GED process must first register for the GED.

Keyboarding Speed Test
A keyboarding speed test is available during the COMPASS test times by appointment for a fee of $15.  Please call 206-546-4608 to schedule an appointment.

HOBET
HOBET will be offered during the COMPASS testing times by appointment only beginning fall 2005 the fee is $40 please call 206-546-4608 to schedule an appointment.  The fee is non-refundable; please do not miss your appointment.
