The smells of fresh bread, Asian cuisine and the noisy chatter of book club members- this is not your typical college cafeteria.
This is the Shoreline Community College (SCC) campus extension within the community center and shopping plaza of Lake Forest Park (LFP). This little known SCC treasure is home to a large assortment of night and weekend classes in an attempt to provide greater accessibility to students with tighter schedules. From history to computer technology, the classes taught here suffer no lack of enthusiastic professors and are equipped with a highly accessible and completely furnished computer lab.

The location of the SCC classrooms can be quite confusing to many first-time LFP attendees as it is tucked away from the attention-commanding stage past a comfy and casual assortment of chairs and couches that form an eclectic living room area of sorts for students before entering the main doors of this hidden campus.
Once inside, the front desk and information center is quite equipped and eager to help students in any way they can. The front desk is also authorized to facilitate the test taking processes for COMPAS and ASSET eligibility tests for potential students on weekends.
In short, SCC at LFP is a greatly accessible extension to SCC’s impressive campus, especially for students with time constraints, or simply those who enjoy the ability to mingle with the community before the chaos of the classroom ensues.
