Interim SCC president announced
At the
special Oct. 13 meeting of the Board of Trustees of Shoreline Community
College, the Board announced the appointment of an interim president. Dr.
Lee Lambert, Acting President and Vice President of Human Resources, will
assume the position effective immediately. Board Chair Elsa Welch said, "Lee
has demonstrated his ability to provide critical leadership to stabilize the
institution. We are looking forward to working with him to advance the
mission of the College. We want to express our thanks to the campus for
taking the time to provide their input on this appointment."

In a survey
launched last year during the winter quarter, 63 percent of respondents
didn't even know who he was. He is the mystery man who is trying to be
heard, going to classes almost every day to speak to anyone willing to
listen to what he has to say, and explain who he is. The teachers have union
representatives who will support them and defend their rights if they have
been wronged in any way. Teachers also have their departmental deans who
will oversee any injustice that they wish to bring up. What if it is you,
the student, who is treated unfairly?
