I’m too sexy for myself: A complete Shoreline makeover
Ladies, are you looking down at your toes, trying to remember the last time you had a pedicure? Gentlemen, do you need your hair cut but don’t have the time with your full Fall Quarter schedule? Well, one convenient solution is to visit SCC’s Campus Salon
Now you’re probably thinking that the prices can’t really be that cheap. For a Shoreline student it is only $6.40 for a haircut, ($8 for everyone else) which is very nicely priced compared to other local salons. Other services include:
Basic perm — $30 (students $24)
Shampoo set or blow dry — $6.50 (students $5.20)
Up-do — $15 (students $12)
European facial — $22.50 (students $18)
Manicure — $9 (students $7.20)
Pedicure —$15 (students $12)
Lipwax — $6 (students $4.80)
If you feel the need to be spruced up for fall but can’t think of what to have done, remember that one of the salon’s specialties is consulting. The Shoreline student beauticians are here to help bring out every ounce of inner beauty. There is always at least one instructor on the floor watching over every student. These are experienced instructors, including stylists with more than 40 years of experience.
The salon has been open since 1971, and most of their clients are returning customers. To top it off, Shoreline salon students have one of the highest graduation and board exam rates in all of Washington.
The salon is located on the east side of campus, on the second floor of the 2900 Building, Room 2926. During construction, enter on the north side of the building. There is even parking for the general public just north of the salon in designated parking areas.
If you are too busy to call them at (206) 546-4631, go ahead and stop in, because walk-ins are accepted. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; noon to 8 p.m. Thursday.
