Brian thinks you should...
Brian Kerin
A & E Editor
Go see Chevelle and The Divorce Feb. 14 at the EMP's Sky Church. Admission is free; doors at 6:30 show starts at 7:30. This show has a Valentine's theme; mementos from past relationships will be broken onstage while Chevelle provides the anger.
Go to The World Says NO To War Rally Feb. 15 at the Seattle Center, the rally begins at noon; the march to the I.N.S. building begins at 1 p.m. Bring a red flower (real or not) to leave at the I.N.S building) It's about time we stopped acting
complacent and apathetic towards issues that obviously need to be addressed. Remember if the people lead the leaders they will have to follow.
UNCLE SAM HAS MOVED TO JAMAICA!
He's sick of Georgie-Boy, capitalism, and "Joe Millionaire."
Now that I have your attention! Hi there, I am the Arts and Entertainment Editor for The Ebbtide.
I will try my best to appeal to your needs as readers of The Ebbtide, but also ask that you make your personal tastes clear to me so that I can better address the music, movies, television, and happenings that interest you most.
I plan to keep my section so that it appeals to a wide variety of people, and in order to do that I need your feedback and submissions. I will accept any reviews, pictures, poetry, funny short stories, or anything else that pertains to the A&E column.
Send your submissions and feedback to Brian Kerin at a_e_webbtide@yahoo.com

Go see The Wailers and Topaz Feb. 18 at the Showbox. Tickets $20 adv. at Fastixx or $22 DOS, doors at 8 p.m. Since we are coming up on Bob Marley's birthday several clubs are sponsoring reggae oriented shows. This being Bob Marley's original backing band this show is probably your best bet.
Go see Rainer Maria, Mates of State, Redd Tape and Lands Further East Feb. 18 at the Graceland. Tickets $10, doors at 6 p.m. show at 7, all ages. The Mates of State are a great band and worth seeing live; as well, Rainer Maria has a lead singer that is unbelievably attractive and has a wonderful stage presence.
Go see the Snocore Tour with Glassjaw, Sparta, Hotwater Music and Dredg Feb. 26 at the Showbox. Tickets $20 adv. at Fastixx or $22 DOS, doors at 7 p.m. show at 8. Sparta is the lesser half of the remains of At The Drive In, albeit, even half of a great band can be good.
