End of year athletic awards banquet

The Athletic Awards Banquet will be held June 6, from 6:30 to 9:30 in the PUB.

Nomination for exceptional faculty award

The campus community is invited to submit nominations for the Exceptional Faculty Award. Students can nominate an eligible faculty member for consideration. The deadline for submitting nominations is May 19th.

Student Exhibition presented on campus

Stop by the College Gallery in the Administration Building to see the student exhibition that runs until August 6th. Enjoy a variety of art, including painting, photography and ceramics. The gallery is open from 9 to 5 Monday through Friday.

Film internship offered this summer

Produce a short film at the internship offered next summer at Shoreline Community College. Students will learn the basics of producing a short-film by industry professionals. This unique opportunity will allow students to focus on a specific area, such as, lights, camera, production, editing, and more while incorporating the many facets of filmmaking into the internship. No experience is necessary.

Dennis, Williams, internship coordinator for SCC Career Employment Services will be restoring the Internship Program. Williams, who formerly taught Business Management and set up an internship program at Northwest College, advocates that interships provide students with the best opportunity to polish their skills, gain experience, industry contacts and job references.

Delta Epilson Chi Conference participate in national competition

Amaryah Curnutt, Laura Giamoyris, Rebecca Campbell and Paul Won are among the students who placed in the international competition at the 2003 Delta Epsilon Chi Conference held April 12 to 15 in Orlando.

Delta Epsilon Chi is a college division of DECA, a professional organization that provides leadership and career-oriented opportunities to develop future leaders.

Curnutt and Giamoyris placed as National Champions in the National Management Competition. Campbell placed as a National Finalist in the Human Resources Management event and Won placed as a National Finalist in the Travel and Tourism Marketing event.

A total of 15 SCC Delta Epsilon students qualified to attend the international competition by competing in the state competition earlier this Spring. Other SCC students competing at the conference included Megan Ballock, Rachael Swenson, Jacquelene Newsom, Cassie Main, Ingy Nicola, Merald Garza, Carla Magee, Lynn Rott, Kellie Swenson, Todd Carter and Weslet Whitehead.

Reprinted articles unavailable at present

Due to technical difficulties experienced by the print vendor, many people have noted a difficulty in reading the Summer Class schedule.
