The Ebbtide awarded for excellence
Ebbtide Staff

The untold amounts of coffee and soda, plus the bi-weekly lost night of sleep before a deadline have finally paid off for the Ebbtide staff.

During the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP) 19th Annual National College Newspaper Convention, the Ebbtide won an honorable mention in the ACP's Newspaper of the Year competition.

Delegates from the Ebbtide attended the convention, held in Seattle March 6th - 9th, and submitted the last three issues of the Ebbtide in the two-year college category of the competition.

Entries were judged on the quality of reporting and writing, editing, design, photography, special project reporting and editorial page leadership.

Participating in this conference and competition were a number of colleges and universities from across the country and even as far away as the Philippines.

The Review, of Edmonds Community College (in Lynnwood), also received an honorable mention.
