What's going on at SCC regarding the possible war?
Ebbtide Staff

Taking a stroll through campus one is likely to notice a few slogans plastered everywhere.

You see buttons, bumper stickers, signs on windows, pins, and even graffitti in every corner of Shoreline's campus.

Even the faculty takes a stand. The Ebbtide found "No Iraq War" signs in instructors' windows. One faculty member had another view, saying "Stop Hussein" in the window.

Puget Sound Students Against War (PSSAW), a club dedicated to opposing war, formed this quarter as a class project. They were organized to form a simulated social reform group, and ended up forming an active club. Read more about it here.

On March 5, some students and faculty will participate in an all-day walkout beginning at 9 a.m. There will be bands speakers and other activities. The Ebbtide's own Brian Kerin will be the Master of Ceremonies in the PUB. Details on the event can be found here.

As written about here, the Homeland Security Department has developed a campaign, and has a Web site, Ready.gov. You can find what you need about personal preparedness.
