Young gun breaks barriers at SCC

The Shoreline Community College Men's Soccer team had a dismal fall 2011 season. They missed the playoffs for the first time in more than six years and had just two wins, one tie, and a staggering 16 losses. Though these kinds of numbers would bring most players down and cause conflict in the lockers, they were dismissed by most, and one of those players, was Greg Wolfe.

Wolfe, a sophomore at SCC, had a phenomenal season that gained him multiple honors including NWAAC All Star for a second year in a row, along with the prestigious Northern Region MVP award. Now these are some great awards, but when you take into account that Wolfe played his first season with SCC at just 17 years old, it's quite the accomplishment. [...]

The corporations entice consumers with the "best deals ever" even though most items sold on Black Friday will be just as cheap once the holiday season is done and the next year's brands come out. But the holiday season of 2011 isn't like all the past years. It is a year of change, of mass awakening of human consciousness with things like Occupy Wall Street influencing our communities now.
