Rants & Raves
Rant!
I get the impression reading the Ebbtide and talking with people that most everyone that has the privilege of owning a car and driving to campus is put out by the "parking situation." Really? You people pay a whopping $15 per quarter(about $5 per month) to park in a high demand lot near a college campus. Before you go complaining about it, why don't you go find out what it costs to park on UW's campus, or better yet, why don't you go park downtown or anywhere that has any type of congestion for that matter. You will be paying $5 per hour most of the time. Also, if you are really having that big of a problem finding parking, then park at Sears. The school provides a FREE shuttle to take care of you, and that isn't good enough? You must come to school at 9:29 AM, get a spot in front of your class (because you obviously paid for your $15 pass) or it's not good enough. Maybe the school should double or triple the cost of the pass, then there would be enough parking spots, oh wait, then everyone would complain about their pass costing too much. I guess until the $15 per quarter pass includes complementary valet service, no one will be happy.
Rave!
In general, I'm not the biggest fan of the food in the cafeteria. It's usually overpriced and as a student I find it hard to justify, but I have to say that the "sandwich lady" is the deal breaker. I'm sure many of you have had the feeling; "yes!" runs through your head as you see her come to the sub counter to help you build your masterpiece, as other lesser sandwich makers are sub par for this work of art. "The sandwich lady" always makes my sandwich perfect, and I never have any complaints. She makes them with the love of a mother; as she is the mother of the delicious sandwich. I would like to thank her with this rave, for she is always upbeat, and never fails to brighten my day with her positive attitude and her dedication to the art of awesome sandwich creations.
